Adventure’s Tickets

Far away I fly
Behold fun new adventures
Books are my tickets

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) “strongly recommends reading to children every day, starting after they are first born,” because “reading stimulates the development of the brain, language and a closer emotional relationship with a child.”

Children love the sound of their parent’s voice … start reading to them as an infant. The freedom of knowing how to read and enjoying reading is immeasurable to a child’s life.

have you ever looked into bookcrossing? I just recently discovered it, I like the idea of “wild releasing books in public”

  4. Far away you fly and you don’t even have to pay for gas! I know people who complain about buying books, but if you multiply the hours of “entertainment” it is WAY cheaper than the price of a movie ticket. Nice poem.

I need to read more books! I do read to my son all the time, but it has been so long since I have cuddled up in a corner with a cup of tea and a book. Thank you for this lovely reminder!

Wonderful! This is my daughter’s ticket to adventure, for sure. She has exhausted the library. 🙂 I remember those days and long to read for pleasure once again.

    Lovely.
