No Refills Wanted

House filled with “stuff”
Recollect significance?
No refills wanted

Time to simplify
Keep only imperative
Choose freedom from chaos

I think simplicity is the best ‘rule of thumb’ for all that we do in life. A well done
contrast of the two. Nicely done!

Ah, I see you are finally cleaning and getting ready for your visitors. No wonder I can’t find you. I am so grateful to be at a point in my life where I do not care about “stuff.” I came to Brazil with one suitcase and gave everything else away. It felt so freeing to do that. Although I have a furnished house again, I could walk out at any moment and leave all of it. Thanks for the great poem, reminder and laugh about the poor horse. Hugs, pat

  5. Poor horse! Imagine asking it to move all of that stuff?

I agree that we should not cart around so much clutter in our lives (actually, I’m gonna be writing about this on my blog soon as one of the sections on it). The less clutter the world around us, the less cluttered our mind!

The secret to success is simplifying – just as your wonderful haiku says xx

This is an area I need to work on BIG TIME!! I just had an offer from my sister-in-law to come and put me to task – of going through stuff and put in groups “to throw, give away or keep”! She will be the perfect one to do it too! 🙂
