Thrived on little sleep
Thousands babies delivered
Always full of joy
High demands on time
Patients counted on him
We had his full heart
Stitches, casts, broken hearts
Listening ear, tender spirit
Servant’s heart
Diagnostician
Acute or chronic, unfazed
Stayed till crisis end
Priority care
Each concern never ceasing
Vanishing doctor
Twinkling eyes of blue
Humble, quiet and doting
Fan of junkie food
Champion of youth
Gardener and chef
Community inspiration
Loved by all kinfolks
Doctor for generations
Beaming daughter proud
They called him “Doc”
I called him “my Daddy”
God called him home!

This is simply an awesome tribute to your father. It feels as though you were close to him, which is a wonderful thing. I love my dad but never was really close growing up and until mom died three years ago now I don’t think he knew how much photos mean…hence, the prose I posted. Now photos have become a dear to him as they were to my mother. Thank you for sharing.

You have written it beautifully, I was like really joyed for all you said before the last line, but then it just did not feel that joyous, all came out was “excellent memories, treasured indeed”.
