Joys of Sharing Tea

Green, black, white, herbal
Floating tea leaves swirl
Proper steep with time
Delivering retreats in fragrances

Capsule of frozen time
Donned hats and gloves
Luscious scones, lemon curd
Devonshire cream and jam

Friendships forged over rituals
Worries quickly fall away
Palates and souls’ balm
Tea soothes the spirit

there’s nothing like an English or High Tea. my daughter and i have “gone to tea” in several cities over the years and always enjoy it.

i love your “special effects” photograph ~ VERY cool! and not only do i love the poem, you’ve introduced me to yet another new-to-me form. thank you! ♥ i’ll have to try this soon. *hugs*

I love high tea so much … our wedding reception was a High Tea! 😀
My trips to New Jersey (usually twice a year) always include at least one tea with these women … it is always a highlight of the trip!
I had fun with the photography effects …

  4. This was a true delight. I am not familiar with 4 words, 4 lines. I loved it. I haven’t been taking time lately for tea … too much construction that never seems to end … I ought reread the Millay poem 10 more times and sit for that “cuppa.”

  5. My eyes have had visual dessert. I love tea. My Dad would let us have a cup after dinner every night. It was his own little ritual. I LOVE hats. I am known around my town for wearing them all the time. The poem is icing on the cake. The tea sets are so pretty. I just love this whole thing. It makes me want to have a tea party.

    Beautiful,
    Isadora

Thanks, Kay! It was enjoyable form to try. I love having “tea”, anytime — However it is a special treat with these three awesome women! The “entire” of me feels refreshed after our adventures.

Re: the photography — I took photos of the four of us, and tried “cartoon” effect on it … I picked up aspects of the photo that was lost to the eye in the original … it was fun to see the difference it made.

      I appreciate your visit!!
