“Each week Carry On Tuesday will publish either a famous quotation or a line from a book, song or poem and invite you to Carry On where words stop. You may use some of the words or all of them either at the start of your piece or within the body of your work.”
This week’s inspiration prompt is a quote from Mahatma Gandhi
“An eye for an eye will make the whole world go blind.“

“An eye for an eye will make the whole world go blind” to me is a pearl of truth.
If this quote were true, what would we come to be? Would we see the world in fresh ways? What would our hearts, our minds and souls tell us? Would we hold out our hands for a new feel or stroke? What would our hands tell us? Would it give us a chance to grasp the truth in each of us? Would we be free to see the world with new sight? Would we be more bold than we are now?

In addition to the “Carry On Tuesday” prompt, I combined:
Form: “100 word – one syllable” challenge
its better to have faith on divine justice, thats meted our perfectly when the time comes.

Nice job with the quote prompt …. and … the 100 syllable challenge. It’s always difficult for me to combine two challenges. You did it so easily.

Great job with the 100 words and the quote. I still have not tried the 100 words with one syllable. Have to do that one of these days. Very thought-provoking, Becca. hugs, pat

Some good thoughts there. Impressive that it was all one-syllable words, and I didn’t even notice.

If the quote were true we’d have to invent new ways to ‘see’ with our other senses. An eye for an eye may feel good at the time but all it does is create more hate, more wishing for revenge. In the end it solves nothing at all.
Very nice prose.

Im so pleased the World Isnt Blind!…. .. We are so easy to judge and point the finger.. wishing the same upon another who has caused ill fate.. .. When in fact it is within lifes turmoils and problems we are taught our greatest lessons.. For those who bring us the greatest of hurts also bring with them our greatest gifts as we learn to overcome and shed them.
Be well Becca… Peace!

I was tempting to write it as if we did not have physical sight and had to rely on our other senses … less judgement that often comes with sight.and more of “seeing” others in true Divine light! Thank you for leaving feedback and comments. Be well and many blessings ~~ becca
