Elixir of day
Whiffs of fresh dark roast coffee
Awaken with kiss
______________________________________________
As many of you know, I have been on a bus tour with my mom to the North East USA. In 13 days we traveled 4000 miles, through 17 states with 46 adventuresome souls.
I have been away from home in TX since August 29th and returned this evening. Tomorrow morning I am looking forward to my husband and my morning ritual of 20+ years. He awakens me quietly, blowing whiffs of fresh cup of coffee then gives me a morning kiss. 🙂

A great haiku. Though for me the day couldn’t start without a cup of tea!

Young lady I am not sure which delights me more, your very sweet story or your delightful Haiku. And oh my gone from home since Aug. 29th? On a bus tour? You are downright brave! Congrats on those 20+ years.

Is there any other way to start the day! The darker, the better, laced with coffee cream or whipped cream.

It is a great way … I have finally learned to drink it black … unless, I am drinking my mom’s from the French Drip pot – fixed the way my grandmother fixed it (the pots are “heirlooms” handed down)!

I can smell the coffee now ☺.
And the tickle of the cats whiskers as she “kiss hugs” me. ☺.
Thanks for the post…enjoyable.
