Rare
I can hardly see the sky with towering buildings all around 😦 So it is a rare sighting for me too if I do see one, which has happened just twice in the past!! 🙂 A thrilling moment to see something unusual happening in the sky!!

I like this very much. The image goes perfectly with it.
I didn’t get a Haiku done last week. My life and job is crazy busy right now.

Shooting stars- never seen one with my eyes but I am pretty sure it is a magical sight. Loved the haiku and just want to keep staring at the picture :-). Maybe I should make a wish too!

How appropriate haiku Becca, for some day ago (8/10) the Earth passed through the tail of comet Giacobini-Zinner and here from Sweden we could see a meteor shower during the whole evening…. 🙂

Nothing quite so amazing as a shooting star! We got eaten by mosquitoes during the last meteor shower, but it was worth it! Well done, Becca 🙂

When I was little my parents would take us to the Drive-In Movies and we would sit on the hood of the car watching for shooting stars. It was Phoenix in the 50’s -could see LOTS of stars in the sky back then and we always saw shooting stars. Thanks for the memory!

A lovely choice for a rarity. These days we have to wonder if it’s a shooting star or another piece of a satellite plummeting to Earth!
