Busily working
No fear yeast is absent here
Goodies awaiting

Today is Day 2 …

Yesterday, I started a triple batch, an emergency holiday endeavor, of Friendship Bread Starter. Upon awakening this morning, I was thrilled to walk in my sunny yellow kitchen and smell a “yeasty” smell.  Guess, the “coat” I made to “keep in” the warmth is working.  Relieved … No need to worry about whether or not I was involved in the homicide of “killing off” the yeast. 😀

Holiday goodies and my mouth anticipating 9 days from today. All I need to remember is stir once a day with a wooden or silicon (not metal) spoon!

Being very optimistic, and setting my intention …

I can manage this — with ease! 🙂

    Enjoy your goodies!

  2. That looks an awful lot like work, Becca… I’m allergic 😉 What a lovely idea though! I don’t have enough people close by to share that with, or I’d give it a shot.

    Great haiku!

I simply cannot bake with yeast so am always looking for recipes that don’t take any. I love the idea of friendship bread but simply don’t have the energy and the number of days…well, Becca, I think you need to be congratulated! Everyone is in for a real treat!
