Rainy Winter Evening Treats

After a full day of rainy weather, we continue with a rainy evening.

Following the summer drought and heat we experienced in Central Texas, I am not complaining – we need the nourishment of the rain.  However, to soften the wintry evening, I came across a perfect accompaniment to accent my evening of snuggling with a good book …

Munchin with Munchkin,

Mexican Hot Chocolate

Maple Marshmallows

In the past, I have made a similar hot cocoa mix for gift-giving, but this one has a different twist, and it sounds delectable!!  New for me … making marshmallows from scratch.  I am happy to know it can be made without a stand mixer, but since I am fortunate to have one, I will take that route! Please visit Kris for the full recipes to these yummy sounding treats!

Bon Appetit!
