Precocious Journey

Life’s satchel jammed
Gifts, love, gratitude within
Precocious journey

This is the last prompt of the month-long Haiku Challenge held by SiS of Few Miles!

It has been a creative pleasure to bend, twist, stretch and at times allow or cause my muse to be raked over the proverbial coals!  To my fellow Haiku Challengers – I offer my appreciation and congratulations to you for jobs well done.  I have read exciting new poetry and met some lovely people this month.  Your diligence in daily sharing of different styles and perspectives has taught me interesting and enriching lessons; these I will take with me as I continue on my poetic journey.  Thanks to each of you and to SiS for another successful year.

Day is done, pens pause
Haiku challenge draws nigh
Fleeting muse on vacation!

Champagne raised high
Candles lit, bubbles billow
Tomorrow’s another day

  16. Becca … these are really nice to read. It was a pleasure to meet you during this Haiku Challenge. It was a journey with several ups and downs, but also with wonderful contributions to the Challenge by every participant.
I will miss this every day writing of haiku, but … what shall I say … It’s my passion so I will continue to write haiku and maybe … some day some place we will meet again on a new journey.
