Nodding bonnets sigh
Really? ~ Time to wake up ~ Now?
Early springtime joke

Several nature related observations were made while I was in Georgia mid-February. Among which … the area experiencing an unusually mild winter causing confusion among the flowering species of plants and trees. Many were flowering a month ahead of schedule.

Mellow Yellow Monday #163
I stumbled upon Mellow Yellow Monday, whose specialty is all things yellow. Intrigued, as yellow is my favorite color, I decided to interject some “sunshine” for the winter months.
The prompt seems simple according to the introduction and directions:
Mellow Monday states … “I chose yellow for this photo meme because it’s my favourite colour and I think the world is always better with a splash of yellow … whether it’s in your home or in nature.
The rules are pretty simple:
1. Every Monday post a photo with a little or a lot of yellow.
2. Please only post photos you have authority to use.
3. Include a Mellow Yellow Badge or a link to this blog in your post.
4. Leave the link to your Mellow Yellow post below on Mr. Linky.
5. Visit other blogs listed … comment & enjoy!”
Love the daffodils! Nice post, Becca!

Love the idea of sleepy daffodils, reluctant to be woken yet! This year nature seems to be taking it’s time to bud and blossom here in the south of England, so my daffs are still slumbering!

Hi Becca, Thanks for visiting me and leaving a comment. A taho is some kind of snack food that we have in the Philippines. We eat it over there either for breakfast or for snack. It consists of bean curd or silken or soft tofu, caramelized sugar and tapioca pearls!

Hmm. I would be willing to try it … 😀 Thank you for the explanation!

Yes, Becca, my forsythia bush really got confused in NW Alabama: it tried to bloom before January 15th! Many buds were frozen, but I still have some blossoms now springing forth. My own daffodils, like the ones picuture here so beautifully, are already bloomed out and shriveled! But the later varieties and paper-white narcissus and grape hyacinths are starting to show their glory! Hooray! And the woods violets always steal me away to roll in them!
