Sunday Trees – 26

In San Gervasio Mayan Ruins
Cozumel, Mexico

I captured several “Sunday Tree” photographs during my late March journey to the Western Caribbean (via cruise).  This one was taken during our stop-over trip to the island of Cozumel, Mexico.  The San Gervasio Mayan Ruins, in the middle of island, provided a plethora of choices.  The trees were almost as mesmerizing as the Ruins.

I will feature more shots from the Mayan Ruins and our island-hopping in upcoming Sundays.  I sincerely hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed “spotting” them.

This is your most jaw-dropping photo to date I have seen in your Sunday Trees series. Those roots and the ruins are completely unified in mutual preservation, are they not?

  3. Just so love trees as you know Becca… and this one is so beautiful xx Sue xx

Bravo! Makes me want to reach out and hug a tree.

Look forward to more from your trip. Thanks for sharing.

I love the way the tree and rocks intertwine, nearly the same color. Some of the rocks are crumbling like old wood, and the tree seems solid as a rock. Wonderful!

  6. You captured some really great images of trees on your vacation. I spent loads of time on the pyramids and shots. I had never thought of trees. I’m glad you did, Becca.
    Awesome ….

This is quite lovely and so appreciated. I was at the Botanical Garden today and have a nice selection of trees … hope I can be late and put one up tomorrow. They are not on this computer.

I have so enjoyed all of your photos of trees, Becca. I love nature and trees and your photos show the unique and rare. Awesome.

I love your trees…I think I’ve said that before…and will say it again !
We’ve had a rash of tree cutting on my street and in the towns around Ellsworth. I have been trying to capture “portraits” of the older trees or those in possible danger of being cut.
    Thank you.
