  3. Where I grew up in the north of england people used to say you could have whatever you want “when the boat comes in”. The phrase comes from a song ~ Dance for your daddy ~ and refers to the fact that in fishing communities women and children had to wait for the boat to come in before they could get money to buy anything. Your lovely haiku reminded me of those long lost ‘happy’ days. thank you x
