Sadly, this is Haiku Heights last prompt after 3 1/2 years of weekly memes and April Haiku Heights Months. When I first started blogging and writing Haiku, I was led to this site, and it was the first weekly prompt I followed. The first April of my blog, I participated in the April Haiku Heights Challenge month. I learned much through this participation, and gathered many blogging friends in the span of those weekly challenges. Thank you, Leo (Vinay Ravindranath) of I Rhyme Without Reason for your dedication and leadership! I will miss reading the challenging creative outlet of Haiku Heights! Thanks for the memories!!
Addendum 11-25-13:
Leo has decided his heart is not ready to close this meme! Yea for us!!

I never mastered haiku, but I appreciated the beauty of the form through your poetic pictures. I’m glad that your and other participants have given the strength and appreciation to the creator of the prompts.
I will continue to learn the haiku pattern for a little while more.
Did you create, too, the incredible picture that complements the haiku? I know you are very multi-talented and I suspect you are the artist/author. (I took an English literature course where we “read” Hogarth prints for example. I have a feeling I have said this before!)

No mamm, I cannot take credit for the image with Haiku … it was stored on my computer. Alas, I cannot give the artist credit. As far as the Haiku/Senyru .. I believe I’ve come a long way from when I initially started writing but I’ve a ways to go to feel totally comfortable. Sometimes it flows easily and other times it’s a struggle … but I continue nonetheless! Happy Thanksgiving week!

Thank you, Becca for the kind words. It’s this kind of support that makes me think twice over going away. I’ve felt that sadness throughout last week, when I contemplated that decision that I took. Reading yours and others’ posts have made me rethink, and I’ve decided that if my word prompts are helpful, it is not time to let go.
I’ve changed the prompt wordings. Not closing down as yet. Thank you.

Becca,
It was the first weekly prompt I followed too ! I was taking a class on writing haiku, and of course made some errors in form or posting and Leo helped me so kindly.
A wonderful tribute to Leo.
Peace
