Twinkle of Appreciation

Legacy
of
courage and grace

______________________________________________

When you read, hear or witness someone battling cancer – it must be “stare-in-your-face-obvious” … fighting cancer is NOT for sissies!!

Even with the special witnessing of my mom through daily contact … fully cognizant there is absolutely nothing anyone can do … it is difficult to fathom the wealth of sheer determination, courage and fortitude to face each day – tapping the unknown reservoir of moxie.  As I tuck my mom in bed at night, knowing full well the days are dwindling – I do not know where she extracts the tenacity to face another day … even with the grace and faith bestowed her.

It is an amazing testament and journey!

Those that fight such battles seem to be able to take so much more than it would seem humanly possible for I have seen it and known it to be so. I hold you and your mom in my heart during this holiday season and know that your love and care for her have not gone unnoticed and that she is grateful for you as her daughter each and every day. Blessings to you both.

  2. Becca, I’m so sorry to hear of your mom’s illness. I’m sure her strength is an inspiration to you, but also I’m sure your love gives her some of that strength. Be well. For her and for yourself. Gemma

Becca, I think you might appreciate two blogs maintained by another woman living with cancer. One is her gratitude journal, and the other is a more substantive chronicle of her treatment and so on. You can find that one here, at A New Beginning .

Thinking of you and your mom – and your whole family – and wishing you joy.
