Our host, Chèvrefeuille of Carpe Diem Haiku Kai introduces a new feature this month — Ghost Writer. The Ghost Writer features segments introduced by some of the amazing talent of regular participants and contributors to Carpe Diem Haiku Kai. The first is JulesPage of julesgemsandstuff.
JulesPage, a lovely renegade poet, challenges herself daily with mixes of various short-form poetic media. She first introduced me to the Dutch form of Elfje —- consisting of 11 words spread over 5 lines. My contribution of mixed media for today: — a Haiku/Senryu (5-7-5) finished with an Elfje (11 words in 5 lines).

I had to chuckle at ‘renegade’… Thank you for your mixed media!
I am transported to the artist swish and swirling, welcome the ‘peace’ as I evolve into the drying ink of the art.

Tai chi on paper is a perfect way to describe the deliberate strokes the Chinese calligrapher uses when he paints each meaningful word. I love this haiku Becca

Excellent and completely visual without one photo needed. Thanks, I truly enjoyed this. Janet

Thank you, Janet … considering I use to pair photos with my work for a good part of my writing … I decided a year or so ago to try to decrease that aspect. So I am working on increasing the number of micro-poetry without photos. I appreciate the feedback.
