Great entry. I’ve never even heard of Cypress Knees. Here’s my contribution for the week.
Thank you! I immediately fell in love with this little “characters”. The discovery got even better …
Growing up in south Louisiana, I have only seen cypress knees next to the cypress trees in water. I have not seen any on those trees on land … so imagine my surprise to find these in Central TX … surprised to find cypress and even more so to trip over the knees. Initially, the thought of them being knees, never crossed my mind … so I asked the owner; once she answered I had to go back and look at them again “in a different light”. I was on a retreat — and this was a special connection for me. 😀

I can see how these got their names… 🙂 Unusual 🙂
Happy Mother’s Day to you! ♥ Luvz and hugz, Uncle Tree 🙂
Thank you, Uncle Tree 😀
Now this is just so adorable Becca! I’ve never seen trees like that. Great shots hon and have a lovely Sunday. 😀 ♥ Hugs ♥
These are cypress knees — they grow up around cypress trees — thought to help with oxygenation of the cypress. The strange thing for me (until I stumbled upon these) – I had never seen them out of water as these are.
Well, I am glad you did and you shared it with us hon. What a sight indeed! 😀
