Becca my favourite colour is that lush magenta you have captured here, it is such a lovely contrast with the sun yellow centre.

Wish we had planted masses for her — but quite frankly, she was not suppose to still be here.
It is a small patio where she can sit for a few minutes when she has the energy to make it out there — usually in the late afternoon before dusk and mosquitoes. 😀 If not, then I cut them and put them in a vase for her — often at the expense of the 2nd bloom attached. Sometimes, the 2nd bloom will open indoors — sometimes not!

My aging wish is that I have a child to care for me in a lovingly non-verbal spiritual way. Flowers speak loudly to that.
At times, we wonder if those who age before us have a concept of it all. Natures beauties can rise above all losses; whether of memory or of physicality. Bright sweet gentle petals of tales on a hand send messages of love beyond words.

I agree with you Mariane — My mom ordered a variety I had not seen, so it was a surprise each day … I love when the daylilies arrive, and sad to see them stop blooming!!
