Relic – WP Weekly Photo

This week we are asked:
“What images does ‘relic’ conjure for you?”

To me, the word “relic” has a religious connotation.  Unfortunately, I do not have digital photos of such at my finger tips … so I have chosen a photo from the oldest site with digital photographic record of such visit — The San Gervasio Mayan Ruins.   I captured several “Sunday Tree” and archeological photographs during our stop-over trip to the island of Cozumel, Mexico (via cruise).  The San Gervasio Mayan Ruins, in the middle of island, provided a plethora of choices.  Although I have featured several of the trees, the Ruins were mesmerizing as well.  Since I have not featured much of the ruins … here you go:
