Small Stone – 1-15-2015

Small Stone 2015misty grey departed
leaving a new day
of bright colored red
on the berries and cardinals
weeds shining
in their emerald green coats
crisp blue skies
and puffy white clouds
issuing a fresh view of the world
outside and in
warmth stretching across the land
seeping in my bones
as well as the spirit
missing sun has been found
reward paid

What are small stones?

A small stone is a short piece of writing (any style) that precisely captures a fully-engaged moment for you. The process of discovering small stones is as significant as the finished creation. Searching for small stones encourages you to keep your senses on the “alive and alert” status. Involve yourself with a new set of eyes, ears, nose, mouth, fingers, feelings and mind. In short … OPEN, OPEN, OPEN!

I like your fresh view, Becca, and the idea of being “open” to receive the blessings of “small stones” 🙂

We finally got some sunshine today, too — about noontime. Oh, my. The temperature didn’t go up much, but it surely did get warmer. And I got to go to work after two weeks of gray, wet misery!
