I agree with all of the above, this bark is beautiful. It’s amazing all the many stages and parts of trees. No two are a like and there are so many photos to take.

What kind of tree is this? The bark is so interesting. I love it. I love everything about trees, but the bark is something that catches my eye.

I’m not sure what type of tree. It was standing in the Japanese Gardens. The bark immediately caught my eye.

There doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason why some comments go into pending. I do not have it set up that way. But have no worries, I go through and approve, once I have a notification. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.
Occasionally, even my most frequent commenters get thrown in. 🙂

I do not see the leaves clearly in the photo I have of the full tree. However, they do not seem heart shaped.

Isn’t it?!!! I fell in love with it — I didn’t even take an adequate photo of the full tree. I will have to go back to revisit the rest of the tree! 😀 Have a great week! I don’t know where the rain and the cooler weather petered out — but it did not make it to us! 😦
