Nurt Thurs – Look Forward

250th Nurturing Thursday

What are you doing to welcome the new in your life?
Remember to be grateful for the old and the blessings surrounding it,
but look to the new blessings as you move forward!

What is Nurturing Thursday, you ask?

Think about it … In our amazing but highly competitive and aggressive society:

  • How many of us truly feel good about ourselves?
  • How often do we extend to ourselves … the same courtesies, considerations, nurturing, forgiveness and understanding we bestow a loved one, a friend, or even a stranger?

With the ongoing intention to accept myself with an open heart rather than label myself as “good” or “bad” OR a “success” or “failure” … I challenge myself, and I challenge YOU to treat ourselves with the same kindness, caring, and compassion we show a good friend. My goal for this year continues with striving and thriving in an atmosphere of self-compassion and self-kindness in my life. What about you?

To “give this planet a much needed shot of fun, support and positive energy” … I dub Thursdays as Nurturing Thursday.

If any of my readers are interested in joining the nurturing, I applaud and welcome you to do so … the more the merrier!!

Joining in this week, since time with family – at least my family – is definitely nurturing! http://amoralegria.com/2017/09/14/cbwpc-candid-family-fun/

  10. Interesting you should mention that. In the last few weeks I’ve been dreaming about my parents and for the first time I dreamt of my Aunt who died in 2010. My parents have been dead for nearly 20 years. We were all in my childhood home and my brother was with us. Whenever I’m under extreme stress and overwhelmed like I’ve been recently I always dream of Mom & Dad. For me they were home, security and support. I was happy, well, healthy and at peace. Life was fun.

I suppose I really wish that they were still here because I really need someone to help me and be there for me. But I have to deal with reality and that means the fact that I’m alone. This is my battle. Whether I’ll win or lose I don’t know. However right now I’m in Survival Mode and will be for a very long time so I put aside all my hopes, dreams and goals for the future. In my case childhood was the best part of my life and if God would grant my wishes I’d go back in a minute. Naturally my brother would be with me. It is just the two of us now but with my work schedule and other problems I rarely get to see him and the rest of the year does not look promising. The upcoming holidays or Helladays will just bring more stress and pressure.
