What is Nurturing Thursday, you ask?
Think about it … In our amazing but highly competitive and aggressive society:
- How many of us truly feel good about ourselves?
- How often do we extend to ourselves … the same courtesies, considerations, nurturing, forgiveness and understanding we bestow a loved one, a friend, or even a stranger?
With the ongoing intention to accept myself with an open heart rather than label myself as “good” or “bad” OR a “success” or “failure” … I challenge myself, and I challenge YOU to treat ourselves with the same kindness, caring, and compassion we show a good friend. My goal for this year continues with striving and thriving in an atmosphere of self-compassion and self-kindness in my life. What about you?
To “give this planet a much needed shot of fun, support and positive energy” … I dub Thursdays as Nurturing Thursday.
If any of my readers are interested in joining the nurturing, I applaud and welcome you to do so … the more the merrier!!

A shift in perspective can make all the difference.
This is on-target, Becca. Love the rocks forming a heart.
In tune with my nurturing this week.
Namaste,

Thank you, Becca. I’ve been on vacation in New York attending my daughters wedding. It feels wonderful to be back among my blogging friends.

Ahhh … thank you, Becca. She’s always looked like my hubby. In the last year, she’s started to change a bit. It was an incredible event filled with all the magic of love. 😍

Profound quote.
Jack Kerouac asked, What’s your road?
I found my road paved with writing, photography and creating artwork but sadly I keep getting unexpected and unwanted Detours.

Good point. I work in a toxic work environment and every day I ask God what I’m doing wrong. There’s an argument nearly every day and as much as I try to avoid controversy. Last month I was injured at work. I got hit in my left eye. Half my friends say that I should stay because I can’t afford to retire. The other half say Go because my health has been adversely affected.
The only good thing to come from daily physical and emotional pain is I pray and read my Bible scriptures more. Also I have been producing more art to take my mind off my job.
