What is Nurturing Thursday, you ask?
Think about it … In our amazing but highly competitive and aggressive society:
- How many of us truly feel good about ourselves?
- How often do we extend to ourselves … the same courtesies, considerations, nurturing, forgiveness and understanding we bestow a loved one, a friend, or even a stranger?
With the ongoing intention to accept myself with an open heart rather than label myself as “good” or “bad” OR a “success” or “failure” … I challenge myself, and I challenge YOU to treat ourselves with the same kindness, caring, and compassion we show a good friend. My goal for this year continues with striving and thriving in an atmosphere of self-compassion and self-kindness in my life. What about you?
To “give this planet a much needed shot of fun, support and positive energy” … I dub Thursdays as Nurturing Thursday.
If any of my readers are interested in joining the nurturing, I applaud and welcome you to do so … the more the merrier!!

Yes, even if we can’t yet imagine it, the first step is just to be open to it 🙂

In the chaos of workplace stress I might have sent you the same entry twice in a row. So that is why I’m contributing two different entries. My mind is like that song by the Temptations, Ball of Confusion. Anyway here is a different painting.

Let’s hope so because this work week has been another level of Dante’s Inferno. One of my few respites from a toxic workplace is the weekend when I can relax and paint.
