Paintbrush Editions 06 – 10

Rather than listing my name for the meditative creations … I am interested in what you see in it? What does it say to you? How does it make you feel?

I couldn’t resist moving on to the next five before I went to bed. So here goes – first impressions:
#6 – streaming planet, where universes merge; beginnings and endings; dichotomy

#7 – planting words, feeding thoughts, weeding negativity

    #8 – hummingbird feeder
#9 – Oyster shell closing on colored pearls
#10 – one hammock, a cheap romantic novel and a summer day, so sunny that I can’t see the pages, so I sleep while the sun shines through my eyelids

  2. Absolutely beautiful work! Not just this page, but all, as I visited everyone and I’m going back to look again.

#6 I see a sun from space, with galaxies like clouds of dust on the horizon. It sets me free, a part of something huge and beautiful, too large to encompass, but beautiful in the small glimpses I see.

#8 I see a tiny patch of gorgeous flowers, hidden below the underbrush in a large and silent forest. Few would see this beauty, but those who look for beauty and wonder, below what is obvious or offered.

#9 I see life, with the burdens and traumas that all must endure weaving through our lives. Some (few) learn from what is given, and stronger pass beyond. Others, live the same experiences over and again, hitting the wall, nut learning nothing, back to try again.

    # 10 I see a crow, flying high upon the wind, basking in the warmth of sun even in the rarefied air so high. From this height, the crow can see all, but demurely closes it eyes, so that though it be ever curious, it not be imprudent, for even crows have virtues.

    #6 A slab of colorful Agate http://www.theearthstreasure.com/Earth%20435.jpg
#7 Carefully selected facets on a Diamond
#8 A piece of Stained Glass in a Cathedral
#9 A kids game of Marbles, the side with the most wins them all (left side has the most)
#10 A warm sunny day, shinning down on a napping Mother Earth

My eye always returns to number eight….
I feel a quiet reverence every time I return to it.

Oh I love this idea … art is perception, is it not (to a degree)? Firstly let me say your paintings are beautiful. 6 – This makes me feel mellow; a melting pot of colours telling me everything will be okay. 7 – This seems fast and furious; it speaks to me of the urgency to find love, find calmness. 8 – Oddly, my first thought was ladybirds (wrong colours for ladybirds!!), but then after staring for a while I saw birds of paradise, swooping and spanning their wings. 9 – I love this, the depth, the hues of blue; it makes me think of summer parties, bubbles in the garden. 10 – A beautiful woman sunbathing; when she opens her eyes she has the most calming, stunning eyes you have ever seen. 🙂

How delightful … I love your interpretations … I am not familiar with ladybirds (I will look it up in a moment) … but I do love your impression of birds of paradise … I can see them too. Amusing take on #9 … and enchanting take on #10.

I appreciate more and more leaving my titles out, and letting the observer give their interpretations … it is exciting!! Thank you for your visit and comments. ~becca

I love #8. To me it is “Crossing Over” or “The Awakening”
It looks like spirits stepping forth from the massed unconsciousness into the new consciousness.
