Sitting Alone

A river courses through my veins  –  its perseverance persistent and resilient. With each swoosh and swirl, the energy of its flow embraces all the curves and depths effortlessly.  Its pace ranges from languid meandering to a forceful challenge to reckon.

It flows without hesitation.  It is vital to my being.  I know its banks overflow with tributaries of experiences, sound, light, vibrations, people, and places – contributing from the meadows of seen and unseen.  This river does not need my physical assistance – it has an automatic intuitive progression of support, placed in motion long before I was born into this world.

My consciousness does not always recognize this river’s strength, its connection or its purpose.  Yet, I know I am on an expedition; an excursion of unimaginable twists and turns.  I discern through this journey, my subconscious and higher conscious patiently but anxiously await my arrival.  I am a pupil seeking keys of further awareness.

Am I progressing at the accurate momentum?  Will I realize my river’s full potential and comprehend its course?

I am but a speck on the Universe’s map, but my river’s contribution is significant nonetheless!

I seek answers through Divine connection  …  sitting alone listening to the silence.

… sitting alone listening to the silence

Each week Carry On Tuesday will publish either a famous quotation or a line from a book, song or poem and invite you to Carry On where words stop. You may use some of the words or all of them either at the start of your piece or within the body of your work.

  4. Both pieces are wonderful in their own way. The first complex and contemplative, and the poem whimsical. Delightful.
