This marks the end of The April Heights Haiku Challenge and National Poetry Month. I wish to extend my appreciation to the hosts of both challenges, Leo of Haiku Heights and the community staff at We Write Poems – as well as the bloggers who have traveled the 30 days with me. My hats off to you for completing the month!! My muse informed me she is going on vacation!! 😀

This haiku so perfectly express the emotion revealed in this fantastic photograph. Congrats on completing these challenges in April,Becca! That Lenten Journey thing just did me in. I find that I must continue with this super-strong urge to keep on my critterly journey writing, no matter what.

Granbee — all of the challenges since February — just about “did me in” … I find I need somewhat of a slower pace for a little while longer!! 😀

I love your haiku along with the photo. Is there anything more zestier than three old friends kicking up their heels? I’ve enjoyed reading your haiku during the month.

Love this and the photo. Reminds me of my German Aunties, although there were four of them. They loved to have a good time.

“Zest beyond reason” – a great line! The picture is great, but your words are wonderful. “Captured hearts” could be so many different relationships.

Hi Becca
You are the one who first introduced me to Haiku.
I have to admit I didn’t think much of it at first.
I am now hooked completely-

I’ve enjoyed your haiku so much – even though I haven’t always left a comment, I’ve stopped by to see what you’re up to. This photo and haiku are just wonderful – so much exuberance! Congrats on completing the challenge, and happy travels to your Muse. I often joke about mine heading off to Poughkeepsie – she’s a fairly unsophisticated Muse!
