I saw white butterflies for the first time while I was on an energy retreat – during the recent Super Full Moon. Initially, when saw the first one … I thought it was an albino butterfly or the fairies had forgotten to paint it. 🙂 It was pure white – void of any color.
Several women at the retreat shared with me, they heard … white butterflies symbolize an angel or angels’ presence. Since the energy of the retreat center was high on the Energy Vibration Scale, it seemed apropos to see dozens fluttering about over the weekend. 😀
To my delight, when I returned home, I witnessed one or two white butterflies while I was in the yard working the past week.; odd, since I had not noticed them before. Mind you, our garden is full of type of plants to attract butterflies and hummingbirds. Smiling to myself, it gave me comfort.
Ray and I walked Utah and Chloe on Sunday, Mother’s Day. Half way through our walk, I noticed a white butterfly following us; reminding me of last weekend’s discussions centering around symbols and signs, I smiled.
Suddenly, I heard clicking of paws on the concrete and turned. Within nanoseconds, a large, muscular, male dog which had not been neutered was attacking Utah, our Siberian Husky. Ray was several steps ahead of me with Chloe, our lab. Within seconds he was assisting me in getting Utah out of the reach of the attacker. We exchanged leashes, and as I was trying to move away with Chloe, the attacker went after Chloe, pushing me down.
We were all fortunate to have survived the harrowing minutes without the breaking of skin or fur — although I landed in a mud puddle. 😀
The white butterfly followed us home. Once we were safe and secure in our backyard, the butterfly fluttered away. 🙂 ♥♥♥
I am a definite believer … white butterflies are symbols of angels present.

What a beautiful story – I often find little white feathers and think of angels, but I’d never really connected with butterflies. Excellent poetry to sum up your feeling of being protected 🙂

MY Becca!!! I love all your adventures, esp. with animals involved. I didn’t know about the white butterflies signifying angels but will pay attention now. I’m so sorry you all got attacked but am grateful you are ok. That sounded like a scary situation! Yesterday, on Mother’s Day when I was with my mom, I saw big, beautiful butterflies that I associate with my dad. I figured he was happy we were together. Love, Laurie

Laurie — looking back it was very scary!!! The potential was overwhelming!
It will be awhile before I walk the two of them alone … I must invest in a walking stick and learn the spots to assist in disengaging the attacker. 🙂

Becca, first Im so pleased you were all unscathed in this attack … And second.. As you know I’m a great believer in ‘Signs’ and I have no doubts you were well protected … and your White butterfly symbol of protection and love of the angelic realms were right there with you.
We have small white butterflies here, we call them Cabbage whites.. because they love the leaves of Cabbages to lay eggs on and their caterpillars just love to devour them.. I looked up cabbage whites — they seem to have some black on them (like the photo I used). These are pure white void of any color. I had not seen or heard of them until the weekend of the retreat. I could not find a photo of them. Hmmmm? xoxo
