In San Gervasio Mayan Ruins
Cozumel, Mexico
I captured several “Sunday Tree” photographs during my late March journey to the Western Caribbean (via cruise). This one was taken during our stop-over trip to the island of Cozumel, Mexico. The San Gervasio Mayan Ruins, in the middle of island, provided a plethora of choices. The trees were almost as mesmerizing as the Ruins.
I will feature more shots from the Mayan Ruins and our island-hopping in upcoming Sundays. I sincerely hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed “spotting” them.

I just love this, Becca. Trees “speak” to me. The ones here right now are being battered by wind.

For some strange reason — I do not associate wind with Nevada … I hope “your trees” survive well without much damage. Glad you stopped to visit Sunday Trees — I totally understand trees“speaking” to you.

Looks like an ancient beast from a forgotten time. A leaf eater of course!

I haven’t figured out what this tree reminds me of … but the trunk rolled inward is a mystery to me!!! 😀

Becca … I love this. When I opened it, well, it looks like a goose coming towards me but you chopped off it’s head in the photo. I also wonder about all of the creatures living inside the “split.” Thank you Becca.

It does!!!! I will have to go back and see if I have a full view of it!! I remember missing some full length versions along with the close ups … If I have a full length, I will post it!! Poor goose!! 😀

I must have left the goose’s head – uncaptured in Cozumel! 😦

Amazing that trees will grow in the strangest ways and in places one wouldn’t think they could.

Trees are one of my favorite things to take a picture of. Isn’t it funny I end up on a plantation named Belle Grove!
