Monday Mellow Yellow – 34

Mellow Yellow Monday 34

Gentle spirit soars
In and through our daily lives
Angel watching o’er

Today marks the 5th anniversary of my dad’s passing from this realm into Heaven.   Not a day goes by, I do not think of him in some fashion,  and feel this loss.  In many ways it has become a little easier, or I should state a little less hard (not the same in my book).   He was my guardian and my rock.  I miss you, Daddy!  and I love you beyond the moon and back!!

This photo is from his garden.  She was one of his favorite statuaries … “Rebecca at the Well”.

Monday tradition … Monday Mellow Yellows.

Yellow is by far … my favorite color … of my favorite colors. 😀 I still enjoy the weekly boost of yellow — so I continue with Monday Sunshine.

Why not join in the sunshine fun?

I’m so sorry for your loss, I can’t imagine the pain or even what it’s going to be like when it’s my mom’s time to go.. but what you said, gives me hope that maybe someday, it wont hurt as much or that eventually, I’ll hurt less or that I’ll be okay.. I already feel like I’m losing my best friend.. the statue is very beautiful.. and the haiku- there are no words.. just beautiful and incredibly heart felt.. My favorite one of yours yet.

Beautiful image to commemorate you father, Becca. He’s right there, the spirit in the statue, the grass that lives around a gorgeous lady named after your, you’re angel.

I love yellow too. It’s the color of hope. I’ve got a story about that too. It’s on my Tenacious Poodle blog. It’s kind of rated R, in case anyone wants to read it. http://www.tenaciouspoodle.com/2012/09/draft-ii-thing-with-feathers-1425-words.html If you can’t use the link, search “Tenacious Poodle draft hope thing with feathers.”

Last night, a blogging friend was marking her grandmother’s birthday. Yesterday, a friend and I were talking about how we missed our mothers – me, after little more than a year, she after thirty years. The loss is bitter, but the memories sweet. Rebecca at the Well looks poised to pour out more memories.

Thank you … his entire back yard was like a sanctuary … he had 4 raised beds, similar to this one with a statuary. The back of his home was glassed — so we spent many hours facing this view while visiting, having coffee or other delight. I miss the atmosphere, but not as much as him.
