What is Nurturing Thursday, you ask?
Think about it … In our amazing but highly competitive and aggressive society:
- How many of us truly feel good about ourselves?
- How often do we extend to ourselves … the same courtesies, considerations, nurturing, forgiveness and understanding we bestow a loved one, a friend, or even a stranger?
With the ongoing intention to accept myself with an open heart rather than label myself as “good” or “bad” OR a “success” or “failure” … I challenge myself, and I challenge YOU to treat ourselves with the same kindness, caring, and compassion we show a good friend. My goal for this year continues with striving and thriving in an atmosphere of self-compassion and self-kindness in my life. What about you?
To “give this planet a much needed shot of fun, support and positive energy” … I dub Thursdays as Nurturing Thursday.
If any of my readers are interested in joining the nurturing, I applaud and welcome you to do so … the more the merrier!!

So true. Lovely reminder.

This is lovely! All too often as adults, we get busy and feel like there is no time to play, but that is never really true. Play doesn’t have to be scheduled or take a long time — it can just be a few moments of having fun.

Just wanted to add that when I stuck my toes in the water at Coney Island and allowed the cold refreshing surf to wash over my feet it took me back to so many Happy Childhood memories. It was exhilarating!
