Small Stone – Day 4

Small Stone

Small Stone

Small warm body
Softest fur
Nestles alongside me
Purring with wistful expression
“Love me, love me now!”

What are small stones?

“A small stone is a short piece of writing (prose or poetry) that precisely captures a fully-engaged moment. The process of finding small stones is as important as the finished product – searching for them will encourage you to keep your eyes (and ears, nose, mouth, fingers, feelings and mind) open.”

Although my daughter has a cat here…I am missing Sita who I had to leave behind when I moved recently. She was my lap buddy and I so enjoyed the exchanges we shared every day. Love this, Becca.

Oooo! I love this!! The Small Stone Challenge has been a trial for me, in a way. I tend to write far too many boulders, and find it hard to keep it so concise. Yours are just lovely! Thank you for sharing!

I enjoyed reading yours today. This is my first time, and am including them in my main blog. I cannot imagine setting up a separate blog for them. I have enough trouble maintaining one blog much less several; some have that wonderful gift of juggling.

Miss Dixie has taken to coming by and begging for attention like a dog begging for a bone. She is funny to see – but the message is the same. “Love me, love me now!”

But I do remember when …Purrs are quite lovely – enjoy.
