Goldie is our compact powerhouse. She is one of four siblings who adopted us when they were kittens. They spent more of their time at our house than their own. We spayed and neutered them at an early age. After missing for several days, she dragged herself from across the street to get our attention. Seems she had a broken pelvis. The vet did not think she would heal correctly, and felt it would be detrimental for her to remain outside with her other siblings. So we added her to the inside crew. With her sheer determination, I should have known better … turns out … not only did she heal fully, she is our highest jumper. She loves to play fetch with Ray; Ray’s arm gets tired before Goldie’s interest depletes. After Miss Magnolia passed last summer, the energy level of the inside realm remained unsettled for months. Finally, I realized “someone” had to be acknowledged as the matriarch … so during the Christmas holidays, Queen Goldie (LOL) was officially crowned (with ceremony and fanfare). She takes her role very seriously. 😀 She keeps everyone in line and on their toes!
