CloakedMonk’s MarchChallenge prompt – New World
http://cloakedmonk.com/2011/02/27/march-challenge/

Today marks the last entry of the March Challenge generously hosted by CloakedMonk. It has been an interesting and amusing month. Fellow poets introduced me to new forms of poetry; a couple of them I attempted; others I admire from a distance. 😉 I applaud the diligence put forth by our host and the participants. Thank you for sharing your creativity each day. May your creativity continue to flourish!

  2. What is it about Daffodils that lifts our spirits in spring? Perhaps their persistent color and disregard for late snow?

Donna – for our hardiness zone – daffodils are the first sign spring is on its way. There may be snow or ice in the forecast … and then all of a sudden – the daffodils pretty bonnets “suddenly appear” providing the hope that cold weather’s end is in sight!

Oh, so true! I always look for the daffodils and jonquils in the spring. Your words do them justice and I absolutely love the fact that you quoted Thoreau!! 🙂

Well, Rebecca, you continue to surprise and delight us! It has been such a long time since I saw a sweep of daffodils. I was always so grateful to see them as winter was always difficult for me. Hugs, pat

Another beauty, becca….you flourish with the written word and I feel there is no poetic form you could not master, or at the very least, embrace with all your heart. I also love Henry David Thoreau….thanks for sharing.
