One Gray Cat

Committed solace
Flowing energy shifted
Missing one gray cat

The equilibrium of surrounding and projected energy in a household with seven (7) energy beings with fur, particularly cats, is delicate.  It takes very little for the flow to become out of balance, putting at least one of them in a tail-spin … leaving the humans (Ray and me) in a quandary … racking our brains for the cause and/or solution.

I have known for quite some time the “kids” feel there is too much energy swirling in our living space.  Yet … no one desires to make a change in the arrangements (i.e. go to another home)!  I remind them on a regular basis, each came to us willingly, and we accept them as they are – and basically … “get over it … and quickly!” LOL

Since Magnolia left us 10 days ago, everyone seems to be in a tizzy.  Between offering us solace, and meeting their prerequisites  – several are suddenly very needy for our attention and our personal space.  Sleeping and lounging spaces are changing, as well as daily activity.   Those who tend to avoid me, except when hungry,  are vying for my attention and my lap to curl on – if only for a few minutes.

While Magnolia was physically here – she displayed obvious displeasure of the role of “matriarch”.  Like each of them, she wanted to be an only child. 🙂 Nonetheless, she assumed the role, and kept each of them “in their place”.   With her passing, I thought the lesser amount of energy would provide  a welcome relief to them. Turns out, it is quite the contrary.

I mentioned this to an animal communicator friend of mine.  She gave me another perspective … in truth, Magnolia was the “Rock of Gibraltar”.  Perhaps, surprising themselves, they are grieving for her sudden physical transition while adjusting to the change and rearrangement of energy.  “Who is the boss now?”

The household is on a regiment of Bach Flower Essence of “Star of Bethlehem” (shock, grief and trauma) and “Walnut” (adjustment to change) for two (2) weeks … humans included.

Ah, what a great description of the dynamics of the pecking order that we can so easily miss…but our little furry friends know it all too well! I’m so sorry for the loss…endured by all!

There is an amazing energetic field between them — I wish I understood it better, and could visualize the actual communication between all of them. I can pick up parts — but not enough to weave it into one ongoing picture. Interesting beings ~~

Cats are intriguing beings….Unlike dogs who seem to put it all out there with their tail wagging and smiles…..hope balance is soon restored!

How wonderful is that. Great Haiku. I have five felines myself now, Ion went missing two days after arriving from Korea and the one I adopted from SPCA, Taco died. The house was so quite , I felt the loss and when hubby came back , we went and adopted two other felines, Tinkel and Kogi and then we saved one stray one, Yanka. Then hubby came back with Yogi. For whatever reason, Yogi is always stalking Yanka. What a mess!

I am so sorry for your loss and stay blessed, Becca.

  7. We all need adjustment to change and loss, of course animals would too. I believe that. I’m sorry about the loss of “the matriarch” and I’m sure you will give each cat the love and caring they need. I have more experience with dogs and know they need special care when anything new, any transition happens, I’m sure cats need the same. Special hug, Laurie

By nature – I am a dog person too, Laurie … but these beings keep showing up! So I’ve had to make adjustments … one of our dogs doesn’t mind them, but the other is “too interested” in them. 🙂

  9. It is a huge adjustment to have the energy flow in the tribe be disrupted by loss. My daughter says that cats have very strong energy and one passes on, it leaves a tremendous gap in the energy field. You are wise to be taking special care of each of you during this time.

Thank you for the validation Crowing Crone Joss. I am glad I had the foresight to bring each of them to her after passing. I knew to do this with dogs, but did not know about cats. Thankfully, I listened and let my intuition guide me through it.

I appreciate your comment. Blessings ~~~ becca
