What a gorgeous pairing of building and tree. It’s peaceful, and strikingly beautiful. I’m late because I was out roaming among the trees and wildflowers this weekend. If you’ve never done the Willow City Loop out of Fredericksburg, you’d better put it on your list. It was glorious!

I have not! Will have to put on my list!
Is it past time this year?

No! The bluebonnets still were utterly gorgeous, but there were so many other things to see, we spent six or seven hours doing the 13 mile loop, and still only really covered about 2/3 of it before I pooped out and just got too tired to photograph any more. I’ll be putting a blog up about it — post after next, I think. The loop runs east from Hwy 16 and ends on 16. If you still want to explore, Enchanted Rock is on the other side of 16 just a bit north, and there is a loop there, too. Fun times!

The loop is all on private property, and there’s nowhere to get a snack or drink, so be sure to have those with you. Lots of cattle guards, though!
