What is Nurturing Thursday, you ask?
Think about it … In our amazing but highly competitive and aggressive society:
- How many of us truly feel good about ourselves?
- How often do we extend to ourselves … the same courtesies, considerations, nurturing, forgiveness and understanding we bestow a loved one, a friend, or even a stranger?
With the ongoing intention to accept myself with an open heart rather than label myself as “good” or “bad” OR a “success” or “failure” … I challenge myself, and I challenge YOU to treat ourselves with the same kindness, caring, and compassion we show a good friend. My goal for this year continues with striving and thriving in an atmosphere of self-compassion and self-kindness in my life. What about you?
To “give this planet a much needed shot of fun, support and positive energy” … I dub Thursdays as Nurturing Thursday.
If any of my readers are interested in joining the nurturing, I applaud and welcome you to do so … the more the merrier!!

So much is contained in this, Becca. I think people can be toxic. Sometimes, as difficult as it can be, we need to walk in the opposite direction.
It’s been a while but I always enjoy adding light to the blogosphere.Hope you enjoy my choice this week.

How true this simple statement is!

I generally try not to assume bad intentions. Often people don’t consciously want anyone to live in misery; they just haven’t been able to broaden their perspective enough to recognize that there are other options. Still, if they bring misery wherever they go, they are indeed best avoided!

Thank you for including me as a Contributor. I have two more positive uplifting blog posts this time focusing on bold wardrobe changes for Ladies over 50+. When I was in my 20s, 30s and 40s I was always a Fashion Plate. I am no less bold as I edge closer to 60. I’m 58. Anyway I enjoy mixing up bright colors and patterns. This clothing challenge gave me the opportunity to showcase my eclectic style. Props go out to the two Ladies whose encouragement and support enable me to shine on a rainy Saturday afternoon. Their links are included in both blog posts.
