Becca, I’m hoping to join in this prompt once we are settled back home after playing snowbird. Our yard is like a jungle and demanding lots of attention right now. Must the link be posted on Sunday or is it open longer?

One can never have enough trees! 🙂

That’s how both of my parents felt. We lived on a treeless prairie but every house they lived in, the first thing they did was plant lots of trees. Four houses in our home town are surrounded by trees thanks to them.

A lovely photo, and a lovely sentiment. The trees remind me of children reaching up, asking to be picked up! Happy Mother’s Day to you, too!

Dear Becca, I asked you before, but obviously you didn’t see it. Why is *buttercup tea* in your blog name?
And here’s my contribution this week https://anglogermantranslations.com/2017/05/14/birken-wirken/

I apologize, I did not see your previous question. When I was little, and spent the weekend with my grandmother, she and I would walk to church on Sundays. During the spring, the area along the way was full of pink buttercups. I would pick a bouquet of them, and sniff ending with a yellow nose. We’d pretend to sip tea … thus a whimsical nod to those memories. 😀

Oh, the butter cups I know are yellow! 🙂 I googled for *butter cup tea* and was amazed to discover the plants are poisonous. So possibly the name butter cup is used for different species.

Here is a photo of the buttercups I am most familiar with:

Hi Becca, Happy Mother’s Day to you also. I came to Portland, Oregon to see my daughter and her husband and spend Mother’s Day here. They took us to the park today, and I took many beautiful photos.
