251st Nurturing Thursday
Not always easy to do …
However, freeing ourselves from “the prison” is
necessary to move forward in our journey.

What is Nurturing Thursday, you ask?
Think about it … In our amazing but highly competitive and aggressive society:
- How many of us truly feel good about ourselves?
- How often do we extend to ourselves … the same courtesies, considerations, nurturing, forgiveness and understanding we bestow a loved one, a friend, or even a stranger?
With the ongoing intention to accept myself with an open heart rather than label myself as “good” or “bad” OR a “success” or “failure” … I challenge myself, and I challenge YOU to treat ourselves with the same kindness, caring, and compassion we show a good friend. My goal for this year continues with striving and thriving in an atmosphere of self-compassion and self-kindness in my life. What about you?
To “give this planet a much needed shot of fun, support and positive energy” … I dub Thursdays as Nurturing Thursday.
If any of my readers are interested in joining the nurturing, I applaud and welcome you to do so … the more the merrier!!

This is a beautiful post. You’re right, it’s not always easy to do but it’s so necessary.

Hi Becca, yes, forgiveness is indeed a process of decluttering our own minds and putting those old grudges on the compost heap.

It is sad to see her go — but fortunately for us — her contribution to the Universe lives on!
